William A. Libous, 90 of Binghamton was reunited with his wife, Katherine on Sunday December 13, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Katherine A. Libous; parents, Abraham and Nazha Libous; sister, Jamelia Donato; and brothers, Joseph and James. He is survived by his children, Senator Thomas W. and Frances Libous, Richard and Roberta Libous, Susan and James Heenan; grandchildren, Matthew and Kate Libous, Nick Libous, William and Peter Libous, Marissa and J. Lucas Heenan; great-grandchild, Campbell Jude Libous; his brother, Alfred Libous; sisters-in-law, Lila and Henry Nussbaum, Arlene Foltyn; several nieces and nephews. He was a US Air Force Veteran of WWII attaining the rank of Sergeant as an Air Force Gunner. He owned and operated AJ's Market with his brother, Al. Later he was employed as an accountant with the Binghamton School District. He enjoyed bowling, playing softball, walking, loved to watch the NY Yankees lose and old time movies. Bill loved spending most of his time with his wife, Kay, the love of his life. They had a wonderful life together. Everything Bill did throughout his life was for his family, his most prized possession. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Johnson City and a 4th Degree Knight. Special Thanks to the staff of Good Shepherd-Fairview Home for the care and compassion shown to Bill and Kay. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Ave., Binghamton on Friday at 12 noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Friday from 11am until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
