Obituary of Michael A. Najarian

Michael A. Najarian, 66 Binghamton: It is with sorrow and joy that Mike is now on a long deserved, peaceful journey. Michael was welcomed into God's kingdom by his mother Roberta's loving arms on May 19, 2013. He is survived by his father, Michael; son, Michael P.; daughter, Cindy; sister, Bobbie (Bill) Burns; dear uncle, Walter Youlls; niece, Marisa (Joel) Mane; great-niece, Kazmira; grandchildren, Mariah and Josh Najarian; beloved friends, Barbara Nojaime, the Nojaime family, Marty and Jacki Gerchman. Michael was a dedicated Captain serving the Endicott Fire Department for over 36 years, valuing every day of his service. Following his retirement from the fire department, he took on a new challenge as Superintendent of the State Office Building, Binghamton. As Democratic Chairman of Broome County, his fervor for politics was evident and appreciated by those he served, a passion only superseded by his enthusiasm for golf! The love of golf and companionship kept close friends Marty and Mike on the golf course whenever possible. In his present one felt love, kindness, empathy, protected and shielded. Mike was quick to smile, laugh, and all loving. We shall miss his gentle soul. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Town of Maine, NY.
