Katherine "Katie" Wolcott Matthews, 87 of Binghamton died Saturday November 28, 2015 at her home with family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Matthews; and her parents, Frank and Lula Wolcott. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Matthews and Donna Bonfiglio, Maureen and Terry Clark, Eileen Matthews, Donald and Alice Matthews, Peggy Warner, Gerald Matthews, and Amy and Ken Krueger; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Katie was an active member of the Johnson City YMCA and enjoyed her family and fitness. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Katie. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Ave., Binghamton on Wednesday at 10am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Tuesday from 5-7pm.
