Marie DeAngelo, 87 of Binghamton passed away Saturday November 28, 2015 after a short illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Daniel Marcello; her husband, Joe DeAngelo; brothers, Tony, Arthur, and Danny; and sisters, Lena, Sadie and Nellie. Marie is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joe and Joyce DeAngelo; grandsons, Thomas DeAngelo and Michael DeAngelo; granddaughter, Laura and Anthony Melville; great grandchildren, Olivia and Marcus Melville; three sisters in law and brother in law, Jenny DeAngelo, Donna Marcello, Antoinette and Angelo Chapolo, Marie is also survived by many special nieces and nephews, including Sally Bowers and Donna Buchta; and great niece, Mary Meier. Marie retired from SUNY at Binghamton and had previously worked for Sears and the Fair Store. After retirement Marie spent time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and enjoyed traveling, Bingo, casinos and the nightly card game with friends at Woodburn Court. Marie was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton. Marie also worked as a volunteer after retirement at CHOW, Lourdes Hospital and the Samaritan House. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Court and Fayette Sts., Binghamton on Tuesday at 2pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Tuesday from 1 until 2pm.
