Thomas R. Kelly, 73 of Binghamton, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Vera Kelly; his sister, Barbara Syron; and a nephew, Thomas Syron. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra Hall Kelly; his children, Donna Kelly, Tucson, AZ., Brian Kelly, Brent and Mary Kelly, Kristine Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Thousand Islands; his grandchildren, Lindsey Leve, John and Conor Kelly, Patrick Greenman, Jr., Rylie Greenman; his faithful companion, "Remington" and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a life-long member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. He was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School, Class of 1960 and the proprietor of Kelly's Plumbing and Heating in Binghamton for 55 years, retiring due to health reasons. He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren. Tom loved antique cars and his property in Harford, PA known as the "Shack." Tom always put himself second to everyone. He provided for all and didn't have a mean bone in his body. He was a man with a gentle manner and donated a great deal of work to local organizations. He was a man of tradition and his teachings will remain immortal. He will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gray and Dr. Richard Baron for the care and compassion shown to Tom. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Monday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Tom may be made to Samaritan House, 11 Fayette Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
