Helen C. Novak Novak, Helen C. Castle Creek: Helen C. Novak, 89, of Castle Creek, formerly of W. Windsor, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was a devoted wife and mother and was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2004. She is survived by her children, Stephen Novak, Castle Creek, Karla and Robert Doyle, W. Windsor; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Regina and William Triffo, CA; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Havholm, Delores Havholm, Mary Newman; brother-in-law, Walter Torto, Binghamton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Margaret Novak, Joseph and Betty Novak, Samuel and Matilda Smey, Bernard and Yvonne Kochis; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood. She graduated from Windsor High School Class of 1940 and was a member of the Windsor High School Alumni Association and retired from the Windsor Central School District. Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and was a wonderful cook. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga, NY. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Helen may be made to St. Mary's Church Restoration Fund, 975 NY Rt. 11, Kirkwood, NY 13795.
