Type Obit Here Joan B. Turkovic | Visit Guest Book Turkovic, Joan B. Vestal: Joan B. Turkovic, of Vestal, died on her 75th Birthday, May 1, 2012, at Good Shepherd Village. She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Ruth Birch. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael J. Turkovic, Vestal; her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Dohnalek, Johnson City, Beth and Joseph Matheson, NJ, Kathryn and Russell Henneman, Vestal; six grandchildren, Cassidy, Jack, Joshua, Rachel, Alex and Taylor; her cousins, Diane Wickham, Denis and Jean Wickham, Bonnie and Bill Quay. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Vestal. Joan loved golf and played in the Genny League Golf. She enjoyed antiquing, shopping, and lots of golf vacations with her close friends. She was proud of her heritage in Vestal and considered herself a Vestalite. Joan was also an avid collector of Roseville pottery. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Rd., Vestal, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Joan may be made to Vestal Dollars for Scholars, Vestal High School, 205 Woodlawn Dr., Vestal, NY 13850.
