Obituary of Beverly A. Conwell

Beverly Ann Conwell, 84, passed to her eternal reward on March 18, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Fay Lorraine Fox and the love of her life, Joseph F. Conwell; daughter, Eileen; brothers, Robert and John R. Fox; brother-in-law, Charles Conwell; and sisters-in-law, Eleanor Conwell and Patricia Kieffer. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen (Brian) McMahon; and her two sons, Joseph (Janet) Conwell, James Conwell and fiance Patty Machac; grandchildren, Kara (Mike) Paul, Matthew (Mary) McMahon, Dennis (Gina) McMahon, Kerrie (Mark) Strong, Daniel (Rikki) Conwell, and Ryan (Katie) Conwell; 11 great-grandchildren, Elena and Chloe Paul; Kendrick, Kylie and Braden McMahon; Kaelin and Aela Jo McMahon; Connor and Colleen Strong; and Hope and Paige Conwell. Beverly had many interests such as reading, crocheting, and genealogy. Some of our best memories of Beverly are those when she was preparing to entertain family or friends, either at her home, summer home in Florida or her cottage on Forest Lake. In her later years, she loved sitting with friends on her porch overlooking the lake. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, lovingly referred to as "Mimi"; a quiet woman with a kind heart who relied on her faith to embrace life, both the blessings and the difficult times. Beverly was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City and the Ladies of Charity. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of Good Shepherd Village at Endwell for the wonderful and loving care extended to our mother. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church in Johnson City on Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at J.A.
