Jacqueline Jane (Smith) Pieszala, 79, of Horseheads, NY (formerly from Binghamton, NY) died Saturday, October 25, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by John, her loving husband of 56 years and is survived by her children, Melinda and Joe Sartori (Elmira, NY), Christine Perlee (Niskayuna, NY) and Steven Pieszala (Baltimore, MD); her grandchildren, Ray and Brooke Merritt, Thomas and Madelyn Perlee, Ana Pieszala; great-granddaughters, Parker Inman and Haylee and Alyssa Merritt; and special nieces, nephews and circle of friends. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed hearing about her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's lives. Jackie was a member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. Her church family was very special to Jackie; she was a most faithful and loyal servant to God. When able, she attended daily Mass and took pride in her volunteer work; especially working the annual rummage sale. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Jackie may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Waker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
