Obituary of Anthony R. Trusso

Dr. Anthony R. Trusso, 92 of Vestal, died Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Pauline Trusso. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marilyn Hackney Trusso, Vestal; his cousins, Josephine Galliccio, Staten Island, Connie Katusak, TX, Aurora Stanton, VA. Dr. Trusso was born and raised in Endicott, NY. He was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School and attended Syracuse University for Pre-Med and graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland Medical School. He practiced medicine for over 60 years. He was a Physician at the Endicott-Johnson Medical Center and retired from Broome Developmental Center after 30 years of practice. Dr. Trusso was a Veteran of World War II and loved to travel and enjoyed many vacations to Europe, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. He adopted a number of cats and dogs. The last two cats, "Jack and Spooky" were his sleeping buddies and they will miss him. The family wishes to thank his caregivers for the last year and one half for the care and compassion given to him. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Friday at 11 a.m. Reverend Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Dr. Trusso may be made to any charitable organization.
