Obituary of Loretta J Kasson

Loretta J. Kasson, 84, of Vestal, died Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Harry F. Kasson. She is survived by her sons, James M. Kasson, Ashburn, VA, Richard L. Kasson, Houston, TX; her brother, Raymond Fiaschi, Binghamton; nieces, Lorinda Hinch, Mercer, PA, Judith DeAngelo, Ashburn, VA; her feline companion, "Roger." She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Vestal, where she was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society, Women's Club, and volunteer at the food pantry. She was a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers College. She was a retired teacher, having taught at the Johnson City School District, Windsor School District, and Seton Catholic Central High School. Loretta enjoyed crossword puzzles, scratch offs and penny slots, and her friends at McDonald's. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Thursday at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Loretta may be made to Loaves & Fishes Pantry at St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, 165 Clifton Blvd., Vestal, NY 13850.
