Obituary of Stanley Rigo

Stanley Rigo, 73, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 17, 2014, surrounded with love. Stan was predeceased by his beloved son, David; his parents, John and Helen Rigo; and his brother, John Jr. Stan is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Shirley; his adoring, devoted daughter, Andrea (Tommy); his very special grandson, Charlie (Kayleen); and his precious little angel, great-granddaughter, Jade; his new great-granddaughter to be born; brother-in-law, Frank Mayko (Apalachin); sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Thomas Mollen, Endwell; several nieces and nephews as as well as many close special friends (Nick). Stan was a graduate of UE High School and worked for many years at GAF and Ozalid. He was an avid bowler in his early years, mentoring David, Andrea, and Charlie. Stan loved planting and caring for his tomato garden, loved shopping, watching wrestling, and had a strong passion for cars. Stan will truly be missed by everyone who loved him and were lucky enough to be a part of his life. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Reverend John P. Donovan, pastor of St. James Church, Johnson City, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
