Obituary of Brandon S. Youngstrom

Brandon S. "Fred" Youngstrom, 23, of Vestal, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 16, 2014. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Patrick and Catherine Gourley, George and Betty Youngstrom. He is survived by his loving parents, Steve and Coleen Youngstrom; his brothers, Christopher and Ashley Youngstrom, Nicholas Youngstrom; his nephew, Austin Youngstrom; aunt and uncle, Eileen and Peter Shell, Patrick Gourley Jr.; two cousins, Matthew and Andrew Shell; several great aunts and uncles, cousins and countless friends. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Vestal. He played and coached for the Vestal Youth Football League. He was a graduate of Vestal High School, Class of 2008. He attended Elmira College where he played Lacrosse and attended SUNY Broome. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his dogs, Jack and Chloe, and his cats, Cotton, Derf, and Lily. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Rd., Vestal, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a Lacrosse Scholarship to be established at Vestal High School in Brandon's memory c/o Nicholas Youngstrom, 3833 Gates Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
