Obituary of Kevin J. McHenka

Formerly of Endwell: Kevin J. McHenka, 64, of Alexandria, VA died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2014. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Antonette Michenka, and his parents Frank And Jeanne McHenka. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Gould) McHenka; his daughters, Heather (Steve) Jolly, Shauna (Doug) Sullivan, and Maggie (Jason) Legg; grandchildren, Jenna and Jack Jolly; Parker, Katherine and Luke Sullivan; Ally and Lauren Legg; one brother, Kalvin (Cris) McHenka and son Sean; one sister, Karen Klempka and her sons Ryan and Benjamin; two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, one aunt, one uncle, several cousins, and was beloved by his nieces and nephews. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the US Air Force after 29 years of service and was currently employed at the Office of the Inspector General of The Air Force at the Pentagon. Kevin was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Thursday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Morningstar, Inc. on behalf of the future Guadeloupe Woman's Pregnancy Center, PO Box 672, Johnson City, NY 13790 or the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, 327 N. Middletown Road, Media, PA 19063
