Obituary of Dorothy Veninsky

Dorothy Mary Veninsky, 94, of Boston, NY, formerly of Binghamton, NY entered into eternal peace on April 4, 2014. She was born on January 27, 1920. Dorothy was born and raised in Carbondale, PA and graduated from St. Rose High School. She moved to Binghamton with her husband, Joseph, and lovingly raised seven children. Dorothy cherished her faith and her family. Her giving spirit touched so many and she will never be forgotten for the kindness she bestowed to family and strangers alike. Before moving to Boston, NY to live with her daughter Connie and son-in-law Pete, she was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City, NY. Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Veninsky Wood; husband, Joseph Frank Veninsky; her parents, George and Elizabeth (Megivern) Bujake; her sisters, Marjorie Curtis, Georgetta Tolan and Elizabeth Packer; brothers, Gerard and George Bujake; nephews, Tom Tolan, Bill and Bob Packer. She is survived by three sons, Joseph (Elaine), Binghamton, Gerard (Paulette), Ithaca and Edward, Binghamton; three daughters, Sherry Young (Dan) Paddick, Cindy (John) Barden, and Connie (Pete) Lux; seven grandsons, Joseph (Amber), Michael, Colin (Cathleen) Young, Lennie (MaryAnn) Horton, Johnny Barden, Sean Lux and Ben Lux; 12 granddaughters, Sheila (Brian) Sullivan, Lori, Michelle (Chuck) Gleason, Chrissy (Chris) Clapper, Laura Wood, Lindsey Wood, Kaitlin, Sarah (fianc Christopher Williams), Rebecca, Danielle and Kirsten Mangino; six great grandsons, Conor Young, Corey Young, Danny (Brittany) Schreiber, Jesse Clapper, Tyler Van Orden and Aayden; six great granddaughters, JuliAnn Horton, Cayleen Young, Megan Sullivan, Alicia Sullivan, Payton Clapper and Alexandria. She is also survived by son-in-law, Kevin (Betty) Wood, Iowa; and daughters-in-law, Donna, Connie Meyers, Teresa Swartwood, and numerous nephews and nieces. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Wednesday form 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 5-1 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Danielle House, 160 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905
