Kathleen (Kathy) Lorraine (Walker) Reyen, 73, of Vestal, NY, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with her family at her side on February 22, 2024 in Estero, Florida. Kathy was born in Cherry Hill, NJ, graduated from Cherry Hill HS, Bridgeport University, and Cortland University with a Master's in Education. She loved teaching and retired from the Binghamton City School District after teaching 2nd grade for over 32 years. Kathy is survived by her husband John Reyen, son Mickey (Bridget) Reyen, daughter Jessie (Chris) Grassi, sister Cyndi Hanscome, the lights of her life, grandchildren Moira, Conor, Maggie, and Clare Reyen, brother-in-law Bud (Carol) Reyen, sisters-in-law Peggy (Gerry) Fearon, Mary Beth Howe, and Anne Reyen, brother-in-law Brian Lucianna, and many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Audrey and Ed Walker, sister Brenda Lucianna, nephew Miles Lucianna, father and mother-in-law Bob and Peg Reyen, and brother-in-law Jim Reyen. Kathy loved the beach, working as a mothers helper at the Jersey shore during college summers, continuing the tradition with many family vacations at the Jesey shore with her own children, and frequenting Florida beaches during retirement. She especially enjoyed beautiful Florida sunsets with John. She also enjoyed golfing with her many golfing buddies both north and south, reading, traveling, and socializing with friends over dinner and drinks. In addition to all her teaching and golfing friends from Vestal Hills, Endwell Greens, and Hiawatha, Kathy made countless friends living at Grandezza, her Florida golf community. Services will take place at a future date with J. A. McCormack, Sons Funeral Home Binghamton, NY with a celebration of life to follow.
