Obituary of Kathleen M. Moore

Kathleen Moore, 67, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, in Binghamton, NY, surrounded by loved ones. Kathy had many joys in her life, from reading and travel to shopping and cooking, but her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her two grandchildren. She was an encyclopedia of knowledge, and no one stood a chance against her answering trivia questions on "Rock and Roll Jeopardy," celebrity gossip, or British history. We still tried, though, much to her delight. She was intelligent, generous, curious, and the most supportive and loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. A Registered Nurse, Kathy had an innate sense to nurture and guide those who needed someone to lean on. She touched numerous lives with her gifts, as demonstrated by the multitude of thank you cards and gifts of gratitude she received from families she cared for. She is survived by her father, Robert Gobany; loving daughter, Alexandra (Nick) Punch; two grandsons, Johnny and Robert Punch, brother Jim (Robin) Gobany; and her adored niece and nephew, Leah (Tyler) Amann and Andrew Gobany. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday October 8, 2023 at 1 p.m. Rev. David C. Seaver will officiate. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Sunday from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
