Mary A. Cahill, 97, of Binghamton, died Monday August 1, 2023 in Fayetteville, PA. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thomas P. Cahill in 2013, her parents, Anthony and Anna Stepniewski and by her brothers, Anthony, Raymond, Phillip and Edward Stepneski. She survived by her children, Thomas M. Cahill (Barbara), Robert P. Cahill (Christine) and Ann Marie Whalen (Michael); her grandchildren: Mathew T. Cahill (Jessica Bently-Jacobs) Brianne Kaurup (Sean), Robert P. Cahill(Lindsey) Danny Cahill(Jordan), Brian Cahill(Kayla), Stanley Whalen(Lauren), Andrew Whalen and Chelsea Keogel(Jeff) ; and by ten great grandchildren. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and moved to Johnson City when she was 16. She was a member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. She was a retired employee of Binghamton General Hospital and also worked at St. John's Rectory, J.C. Penney and Endicott-Johnson . She moved to Fayetteville, PA in 2016. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Town of Maine. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Monday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mary's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
