MaryAnn Smolinsky Michalek, 85, of Binghamton, died Friday April 13, 2018 at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Michalek, Sr.; her parents William and Regina Smolinsky and a brother William Smolinsky, Jr. She is survived by her children Michelle Michalek; Edward and Kelly Michalek; her grandchildren Brandon and Natalie O'Brien; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Diane Smolinsky; David and Susan Smolinsky; Mark and Dianne Smolinsky; Maryann Smolinsky, also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton and was retired from Columbian Mutual Life Insurance Company. She was a Teacher's Aide at St. Thomas Aquinas School. She enjoyed gardening, travel, knitting and reading. The family would like to thank the staff at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
