Obituary of Apostolos Stefos
Apostolos Stefos, 94, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, George and Gus Hiras; sister Helen and his very loving wife, Panagiota. He is survived by his son Anastastios and daughter-in-law Maria Eleni; his grandsons Apostolos, Giorgos and Panagiotis; sebethera Elina; sister-in-law Pamela Hiras; his nephews Georgie, Christos and niece Bessie and their families as well as many relatives and friends in the U.S. and Greece. Apostolos served as an Electronic Technician and TV repairman for over 40 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Binghamton. He loved his family, loved to read and listen to the news; loved to joke around and visit his native country Greece. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 214 Court Street, Binghamton, Friday at 12 noon. Dr. Rev. Father Michael Bahlatzis will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Trisagion Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
