Denise L. Weber, 56 of Vernon, CT, formerly of Maine, NY, died Sunday April 24, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a courageous battle with ALS. She was predeceased by her mother, Sally Koziol. She is survived by her fiancé, James E. Gavin; her children, Mandie and Daryl Burns, Melissa Townsend and Bill Colona, Meredith and Nick Bullock, Brian and Chelsea Keefer and their father, Brian Keefer; her seven grandchildren, Sawyer, Morgan, Ruby, Abel, Skylar, Noah and Harper; brothers and sisters, Lyle, Cindy, Laurie, Glen, Todd, and Thomas, Sr.; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Bernard's Church, Vernon, CT. She attended Maine-Endwell High School and was a member of the Elk's Club in Manchester, CT. Denise was known for her generosity and smile. She enjoyed the beach and antiquing, but first and foremost was her family. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St., Endwell on Thursday at 10am. Burial will be in the Maine Cemetery, Maine, NY. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Wednesday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Denise may be made to SOS Shelter, 1201 E. Main St., Endicott 13760 or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 34th St. & Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
