Patricia A. Glazier Obituary

Patricia A. Glazier, age 81, of Binghamton, was born into eternal life on May 23, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Agnes Kleitz Glazier, and two infant siblings.


Pat was a graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth, Morristown, NJ, and Marywood College where she graduated with a Master's Degree i Social Work.


Pat worked at Catholic Charities in various positions including extensive work in adoption, foster care, counseling and clinical supervision. She retired in 2001 after 35 years of service, her last as a therapist on loan to Lourdes Family Health Centers in Binghamton. Adoption was an area close to her heart, and she maintained contact with some of the hundreds of people who either placed a child or adopted one.


She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish. Pat initiated and conducted the parish Prayer Chain.


Pat had many interests including genealogy, cooking, entertaining, creative writing, reading, music and her beloved dogs.


The Jersey Shore and Quaker Lake were where she spent as much time as possible in her earlier years.


Pat is survived by many cousins including Barbara Tagert of FL, Kathleen Frickel (Larry) of Elmira, and a large extended family including Anne and William Healy and family, Ann Gerlock of NYC, Bettye Canestaro, Dona Helm, Marge Mangan, Vicki Rawding, Penny Wheeland, and Brianna Drake.


Pat leaves this message for her friends and family from the writings of Father Joseph Sica: You've inherited my unlived years. Honor them by living those inherited years as fully and meaningfully as possible.


Donations may be made in Pat's memory to St. Patrick's Church Leroy St. or a charity of one's choice. You are asked to honor Pat's memory by making someone laugh today, and bringing a smile to the face of a friend or stranger every day.


A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Oak and Leroy Streets, Binghamton, Tuesday June 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Patrick's Church, Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Mass will be live streamed at www.sta-sp.org
