I took care of Pat for most of those last 5 years. Predicting what she needed and when was my job but quickly became my life.
Pat taught me how to keep house, and stand up for my opinions even if others didn't. Our days were filled with gsme shows, hallmark movies, and the sudden annoyed yell at the TV when something dumb was said.
She was a force and the day she died it was raining, like the earth new the wonderful lady we just lost.
She said I took care of her but we took care of each other. I will make sure Flora knows who Meme Pat was and her memory will live on with all of us. When Z passed Pat said
"I love you too much to expect you to stay".
Words to remember. I love you, Pat. We will always miss you.

I have great memories of Pat. When I was a child, my family would make the trek from the Midwest to Binghamton (my mom's childhood home) a couple times a year to visit my grandparents.
One of the major highlights of the trips was walking around the block from my grandparents' house to visit Pat, a lifelong friend of my mom's.
Pat was a great entertainer and we spent countless hours at her home. I remember enjoying spiedies and lots of other great food and fun moments!
Most recently, my family and I visited Pat in October of 2024 and we had a great family reunion! Once again, we enjoyed delicious spiedies with her. I'm so happy that my own daughters had the opportunity to get to know their "Tia Pat", as they called her.
I'm grateful to Pat for looking after my grandparents many years ago. And for all the love she showed to all of us.
Pat will be greatly missed.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

In a letter Pat wrote to my brothers and me a couple of years ago, she said that my mother had always been a part of her life. Similarly, she has always been a part of ours. She was indeed family. I also had the honor of being her Godson. We will miss Pat’s love and care for our family, her humour and wit, and her storytelling ability through her writing. May she rest in peace.

Pat was always more than a dear friend - she was family.
We grew up as neighbors and shared many childhood memories. She stood beside me as my Maid of Honor when I married, and after I moved away, she continued to show her unwavering love for my family. She looked after my parents with great care . As my family grew, she was referred to as Aunt Pat, and she remembered us all on our birthdays and on every special occasion.
We kept in very close contact over the years until her last days.
Pat will be greatly missed and forever remembered with love.

To the Family and Friends of Pat…I have many special memories of Pat, Hedy Martin and Anne Gerlock from our Quaker Lake Days, which I won’t mention here…suffice it to say, we had a good time!!
I live in Houston now so can’t attend Pat’s memorials. I send my love and best wishes for a peaceful rest for Pat.

I did not know Pat. However, my wife and I were blessed by other caring professionals who worked in Pat's area of expertise.
Pat created families where there were none. She gave children hope for a wonderful future. And she gave couples who wanted children the opportunity to share love and create a family. I can think of no greater gift you can provide to a community.
RIP Pat, You made the world a beter place.
