Obituary of Barbara J. Gorman

Barbara Jean Gorman 87 of Binghamton, NY passed away peacefully on February 12, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Endwell, NY. Barbara was the daughter of John and Betty White and the beloved wife of Robert Gorman. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the heart of our family and was known for her warmth and kind heart. She shared a dedication for helping others and volunteered her services at the Samaritan House and Saint Patrick's church where she made sandwiches for the homeless. She will be remembered for always reminding us to look for the good in people. She is predeceased in death by her husband Robert, daughters Jennifer and Theresa, her brother Timothy and her parents John and Betty White. She will be missed by her children Dennis (Betsy) Gorman, Mary Beth (Emory) Thompson, Jay (Kathy) Gorman, Sue (Patrick) Capwell. She was a devoted grandmother to Casey Capwell, Abigail (Kory) Morrison, Jarrett Thompson, Connor Capwell, Autumn and Reegan Gorman. She is also survived by her sister Joyce, sister-in-laws Mary Cavese and Helen Baker and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton, Tuesday February 17, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The Mass will be live streamed at www.sta-sp.org
