Obituary of Barbara Fuller

Barbara Fuller, aged 83 of Endwell, New York, passed away on January 22, 2026 in, Massachusetts. She was born on May 30, 1942 in Blakely, PA., the daughter of the late Simeon and Agnes Hanyak. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Harold F. Fuller, in 2021. She is survived by beloved family members, including her children; son and daughter-in-law Christopher Fuller and Louisa Turner, and daughter Andrea Fuller; grandchildren Neva Fuller and Simeon Fuller; brother Robert Hanyak and Carole Hanyak, sister Anne Hanyak; nephew Kevin Hanyak; and her dear friends of more than 40 years Jeannine Wells, and Sandy and Ralph Benedict, along with many other close friends. Barbara graduated from St. Patrick's Academy, Binghamton, and obtained an Associate's Degree from Broome Community College. She married her high-school sweetheart and love of her life, Harry, and they spent several years enjoying the bustle of New York City before moving to Endwell after the arrival of their first child. In the 1980s Barbara pursued a lifelong dream of earning a Bachelor's degree. She graduated summa cum laude as the valedictorian of her class in the engineering school from Binghamton University with a degree in Computer Science. She joined GE in Johnson City as a Systems Engineer, and had a rewarding 20-year career leading a team that developed software for engine control systems for the aerospace industry. Barbara was an active member of the Church of the Holy Family for over 40 years and supported many of the church's activities, from its founding through retirement. Throughout her life, Barbara loved to share joy and laughter with her family and friends and, later in life, doted on her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her sharp mind, competitive spirit, quick wit, devotion to her faith, and above all her love and loyalty to her family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow the funeral at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
