Obituary of James J. Propes

James (Jim) J Propes passed away quietly on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at Absolut Nursing Center in Endicott, NY. He is survived by his wife Marie S Propes, son and daughter-in-law Mitchell and Katie Propes, granddaughter Madison Propes and sister-in-law Irene Siedlarczyk. Jim was an interesting person. He was extremely fond of art and music (his favorite band was The Beatles) and had great love for his pets over the years. Jim had an exceptionally good "green thumb" and could make all plants thrive even almost dead orchids. Jim was especially proud of his son Mitchell and was very happy to see him marry Katie in November 2024. The family will welcome friends for visitation at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton onTuesday December 30, 2025 from noon until 2:00pm with a prayer service to follow. All friends are invited to join the family for a meal at Little Venice directly after the service.
