Obituary of Dolores A. Farrell

Dolores "Dee" Farrell, 90, of Binghamton, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, Dee was known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She graduated from Penn State University and began her career in Philadelphia, where she met the love of her life, Jim. Together, they settled in Jim's hometown of Binghamton, where they built a warm and welcoming home and raised their family. Dee's early years were filled with music and drama, as she delighted audiences with her singing and stage performances. Later, she devoted herself to volunteer work, generously giving her time and energy to organizations such as the Junior League and the Wilson Hospital Auxiliary, among many others. Dee's dedication to her community was matched only by her love of adventure—she and Jim traveled extensively, always ready to dance the night away and embrace new experiences. She cherished time spent at the beach, surrounded by family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. She was said to tell the best jokes ever. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, George and Adele Kolibab; her beloved husband, Jim Farrell; and her son, Scott Farrell. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle; her four grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Brendan and Meghan and two great grandchildren, Noah and Graham who will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Friday December 19, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Friday from 11 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Dee's memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
