I only learned of Bob's passing from a note in the King's alumni magazine. For three years we were bitter rivals as both St. Pat's and St. Paul's fought for the CYO championships. It was especially taut in the 57/58 season. In our senior years, Bob's teams were the winners.
I was greatly surprised to find Bob enrolled at King's in the Fall of 1959. But we teamed up to play together on the Freshman. team. I dropped out after one year and Bob continued to rack up the honors, including Athlete of the Year. We also spent a lot of time during the summer months. He was a good friend during this time and I am only sorry I was not aware of his passing sooner.
Bob was a great friend to me and my family. We spent a lot of time together on the basketball court and palling around in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Our sincere condolences to his family.
