Please share a memory of Jacqueline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jacqueline Mary (Micalizzi) Gerrer, age 86, of Binghamton, passed away on November 15, 2025. Born and raised in the First Ward of Binghamton to Marion Zigon and Benjamin Micalizzi, she enjoyed a wonderful childhood surrounded by family and friends. Jacqueline graduated from Broome Community College with an Associate's degree in Medical Office Administration, where she met her beloved husband, Bernard. They married in 1962 and shared a life together until his passing in January 1999. Their union was blessed with three sons: Paul (Casey Krause), David, and Marc (Michell Cahill), who were the pride and joy of her life. She was also the proud grandmother of two grandchildren, Joel and Julia Gerrer. Fascinated by the medical field, Jacqueline began her career working in private practices and later concluded her professional journey at a nonprofit community health center. She took time away from work during the middle years to raise her children, a role she cherished deeply. She made friends wherever she went and maintained a close-knit group of lifelong companions, sharing adventures that included a memorable trip to China. A devout Catholic, Jacqueline loved golfing, playing cards, traveling, and spending summers at Bel-Air Lake watching her boys grow. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her favorite recipes, especially pizzelles and apple crisp. She will be remembered for her warmth, her love of life, and her ability to bring people together. Her legacy lives on in her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, on Friday December 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. Fresh flowers are welcome, or, in honor of her generous spirit, donations may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
