Susan A. Eaton Obituary

Susan A. Eaton (Suzy Q), 61, of Port Crane passed into eternity on November 19, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of Maurice and Shirley Karlman Eaton. She was a 1982 graduate of Binghamton High School. Susan was an expert tap dancer and operated her own dance studio for several years. Susan loved the outdoors, anything pink, her cat Savanna and all animals. She had her point of view on many subjects and enjoyed a good debate, which you were sure to lose.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, her brother Gary, her nephew Michael and dear friend Theresa Yajko. She is survived by her brother Terry, sister-in-law Sue, nieces Teresa and Sarah, and nephews Joseph (Samantha), Cameron and Connor. The family would like to thank the staff at Guthrie Palliative Care, UHS EMTs Sonya and Scott, friends Diane Yajko and Phil Johnson and other caregiver providers that allowed Susan to be at home in her final days, which was her wish.

Calling hours will be at J.A. McCormack Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 11-12:00 with a service to follow. Pastor Joe Wickman will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Right Beside You, a division of CareStart, Owego NY via their website.
