Obituary of Brayden M. Deno
Please share a memory of Brayden to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On October 28th, 2025, Heaven gained Spiderman, Paw Patrol, Blippi, and Octonauts Loving Angel. Brayden Michael Deno was his own superhero all the way to the end; He fought long and hard being diagnosed with SMA-PME and Farber's disease at the age of 3. He never let his diagnosis define him, no matter what obstacle was in his way.
Whether it was a nurse or someone new, Brayden loved telling jokes. His favorite being, "Why did the banana go to the Dr's? Because he wasn't peeling well". His sense of humor was one no one will ever forget. His bright eyes and his smile made everyone instantly fall in love with him. He welcomed anyone who would play Octonauts, Paw Patrol and Blippi with him. Lego's were always a favorite for him to do with his favorite person Aunt Kristen. He shared his mom's love of music and his dad's love of hockey.
Brayden is survived by his parents Megan Deno and Brian Deno, His sister Colleen Deno, whom he adored and his very Special Person, Aunt Kristen and His Best Friend Kimmy. His grandparents Ellen and Brad Wahl and Nancy Deno. Aunts and Uncles Tony Wahl, Scott (Sharon) Wahl, Kristen (Sean) Walter and Tina Deno. Brayden's cousins, whose names alone made his face light up Spencer Walter, Sean Walter, Karson Walter, Kaitlin Wahl, Joseph Wahl and Dylan Wahl. Brayden's fur babies Mocha, Stinky, Baby and Crescent who watched him closely daily.
Brayden is predeceased by his grandfather Rich Deno.
The family would also like to acknowledge all of the nurses, Doctors office staff, therapists and teachers who helped to make Brayden comfortable and "on his side" . They loved him most and could see who he really was. He was a little boy who just wanted to be seen as just that.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you may consider making a donation to A Room to Heal, Make a Wish, Ronald McDonald House, GiGi's Playhouse of the Southern Tier or CompassionNett, all not for profit organizations that have helped our family through this journey.
