Obituary of Maureen A. McAlister

Maureen Ann McAlister, beloved grandmother, mother, and friend passed away at the age of 86 in her sleep on Sept. 4, 2025. Maureen dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home for her husband of 66 years Robert and their three sons. Maureen lived a life marked by love, caring, and a wonderful sense of humor. A devoted friend and thoughtful listener, she always made time for others and kept up with the lives of those She cared about. She had a special talent for finding hidden treasures at garage sales and took great joy in sharing her finds through flea markets, a hobby that reflected her sharp eye and adventurous spirit. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Kirk, Eric, and Scott; grandchildren: Melissa, Megan, Lyndsie, Matthew, and Elizabeth; and great-grandchildren: Sylas, Sterling, and Vera. Lastly Maureen would like to thank you for all the laughs and say go Red Sox. Entombment Services will be held Thursday September 11, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Mausoleum I, Johnson City. Rev. Evans Kulei will officiate.
