Donald G. Miller Obituary
Donald G. Miller, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025.
He retired after 37 years with NYSE&G where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. A man of many passions, he was an avid deer hunter, a talented baker and gardener. He found great joy in cooking for family and friends. He also loved playing cards, especially when surrounded by good company and a bit of friendly competition.
A parishioner at Saints John and Andrew Catholic Church for over 60 years, he was a familiar face at daily Mass after retirement.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Albert J. and Maudrena Grimes Miller, his wife of 50 year, Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Rogan Miller, daughter Beth Ann Miller and granddaughter Allyson Klein; brothers Albert Miller, Robert Miller, Paul Miller and his sister Helen Gennarelli.
He is survived by his children Mary Ellen (John) Baumgardt, Castle Rock, CO, Anne (Matthew) Nowicki, Gettysburg, PA, Eileen (Angelo) Capolupo, Ocean, NJ, Katie (Jay) Clapper, Aspen, CO, D.J. (Kellen) Miller, Germantown, TN, Andrew (Lori) Miller, Summerville, SC grandchildren Elizabeth, Alex, Sam, Kevin, Daniel, Miller, Mary Beth, Aidan, Ashlyn and Great granddaughter Olivia Mae; sister Ann Wasser Binghamton, NY, brother David (Barbara) Miller, Endwell, NY, sisters-in-law Rose Miller Binghamton, NY, Angela Miller Binghamton, NY; nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Thursday August 14, 2025 at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Thursday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saints John and Andrew Catholic Church, 7 Livingston Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
