Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward Joseph Katusha, 84, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Katusha; his parents, Michael and Sophie Katusha; his brother Michael Katusha and his sister Janice Katusha. He leaves behind a family who adored him—his sons, Scott (Bonnie) Katusha, Tim (Jenn) Katusha, Joe (Yisset) Katusha, and Brent Katusha; his grandchildren, Corey (Kim) Katusha, Tabor (Amanda) Katusha, Indhira Alcequiez, Jackson Katusha, Alex Katusha, Nathan Katusha, and Tristan Katusha; his great-granddaughters, Scarlett Katusha and Evangelene Katusha; his sister Nancy (Keith) George; and his nieces, Sheri Felter and Mindy Weidman. Ed "Pop Pop" was a strong, gentle, and endlessly devoted man. He was the kind of father who led by example, showing us what it means to work hard, love deeply, and stand by your family no matter what. His love for our mom was the heartbeat of our family. He showed us, every day, what true partnership looks like—always holding her hand, sneaking a kiss, and reminding her just how much she meant to him. Ed was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association and Sheet Metal Workers' Union Local 112, helping shape city skylines across New York and Texas. But his real pride was in his family. He was our coach, our fixer, our storyteller. He was an avid sportsman who could swing a golf club, turn a wrench, drive a racecar, shoot a perfect game of pool, and move his pelvis just like Elvis. With a little duct tape and a lot of determination, there wasn't much he couldn't do. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught us, the laughter we shared, and the deep love we carry forward. It brings our family peace and comfort knowing Dad is now where he always wanted to be—with Mom, hand in hand, together again. We are forever blessed to have called you Dad. So long for now Pop...
