Richard J. "Richie" Brundage Obituary

Richard Brundage, also known as "Richie" or "Rich man" passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2025 at the age of 61 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Richie grew up on the South Side of Binghamton and relocated to the West Side into later adulthood. He graduated from Binghamton High School. When Richie wasn't enjoying retirement caring for his dog Poppy, he enjoyed family gatherings, debating on whether the Giants should be the "New York Giants" or the "New Jersey Giants", watching WWE, attending Rumble Pony and Binghamton Black Bears games-and going to breakfast at the Park Diner with his good friend Norm (Christian) McCarthy. Richie was a spirited Yankees fan and had the uncanny ability to remember statistics at the drop of a hat. More than anything, Richie was an animal lover and recently began volunteering at the Broome Humane Society walking dogs. He was predeceased by his mother Madeline (Griffin) Brundage, his father James Brundage and his niece Katie Brundage. All of whom loved and adored him dearly. He is survived by his brothers and their spouses; James and Anita Brundage, Jerry and Melody Brundage, Gary and Linda Brundage, Steve and Michelle Brundage, his sister Suzanne Brundage and her spouse Joanne Pepe and his uncle Jack Griffin. He is also survived by his nieces Hannah and Corrie Brundage. Though we are heartbroken by Richie's passing, we are comforted in knowing he is reunited with his loving parents, niece and beloved dogs Jenny, Toby and Sasha. We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and nursing assistants at Wilson Hospital for their excellent care. Richie was not one for flowers so instead, please consider a donation to the Broome County Humane Society, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903, in his honor.
