Rosalie Ann Stento, devoted daughter and aunt, died Friday, December 17, 2021 at James G. Johnston Nursing Home. She was born to James (Nunziato) Stento and Genevieve Dennison Stento in Binghamton, NY. Rosalie was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Bernard and James. She is survived by her two sisters-in-law, Joyce Boulous Stento and Judy Vitanza Stento. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy: Stacy Stento Ludovici, Jim (Carol) Stento, Greg (Betsy) Stento, Andy (Laura) Stento, Paula (Morten) Jorgensen, Bernie (Kim) Stento, Paul (Judi) Stento, Damian (Marchelle) and several great nieces and nephews. Rosalie worked at the Binghamton Press briefly and left to join the family business, James Stento Excavating, as the office manager. She enjoyed traveling, and watching her nieces and nephews in sporting events and dance recitals. Rosalie loved music, listening to Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra were her favorites. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a Lourdes Hospital Auxilary volunteer for many years. The family would like to thank the devoted staff of the JGJ Memorial Nursing Home for their support and care of Rosalie. In rememberance of Rosalie, please join the family with a donation as an expression of sympathy to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
