Peter "Pete" Eggleston, age 59, died unexpectedly in his home in Brackney, PA. Pete was born and raised on the Southside of Binghamton. He worked for over 30 years as a New York State Employee before retiring in 2019. Pete loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was incredibly selfless, patient, and kindhearted. He was the best Dad, brother, uncle, friend, and Papa anyone could ask for.
Peter was predeceased by his parents William and Catherine Eggleston, and his sister Susan Fiacco. He is survived by his children Nicholas and Sabrina Eggleston, Patrick Eggleston, Carly and Kevin Aebli, Mackenzie Eggleston, his former spouse Colleen Colonna, and his granddaughter and best friend, Claire Eggleston (1). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Michael and Margo Eggleston, Mary Ellen and David Goetz, Bernard Eggleston, Bridget and Jim Shoemaker, Dan and Cathy Eggleston, brother-in-law Buster and Danita Fiacco, and lifelong friend Mike Holland.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Augustine's Church, Silver Lake, PA. Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Church, Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be collected by the family to plant a memorial tree at Salt Springs in Montrose, PA. Donations can be sent to 112 North Jackson Avenue, Endicott NY, 13760.
