Merriellen (Melon) Bedosky passed away April 13, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life Michael Bedosky, as well as her parents Curtis Witt and Ada Fern Duke. Melon is survived by her son, Dr. Michael Bedosky and his wife Ashley, grandsons Steven and Trey, siblings Dan Ashbaugh, Carolyn (Chuck) Kreiner, Roger (Julie) Ashbaugh, Uncle Charles (Jude) Walker, sister-in-law Maryanne Gallaher (Edward) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and also a family of friends. Melon was born in South Dakota and spent her childhood in Iowa, moving to Binghamton in the late 1960s. She worked at Jack Quinnan Associates for many years. To know Melon was to love her. She lived life to the fullest with a wonderful sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a real zest for life. She was fun personified. She was an avid golfer, a longtime member of Endwell Greens and the Ladies Association. She enjoyed cards, travel, cats, and above all else, spending time with family and her numerous friends. She will be known for her many public renditions of "Stand by Your Man". Melon's family and friends thank Good Shepherd Village's Skilled Nursing Unit and Lourdes Hospice for the excellent care given to her. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. Donations in her honor can be made to the Broome County Humane Society, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903 or Lourdes Hospital Foundation (Hospice) 169 Riverside Drive, Suite 103 Binghamton, NY 13905.
