Frank S. Micalizzi, 85, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family, Tuesday April 13, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Margaret (DeLucia) Micalizzi. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary; his children, Michael Micalizzi (Pam), Dr. Kathleen and Stuart Gaynor, Tim Micalizzi (Marybeth) and Frank and Liz Micalizzi; six grandchildren Nick and Lacey Keppler-Micalizzi, Vincent Gaynor and his fiance' Monique, Anthony Micalizzi, Dominic Micalizzi, Krista Micalizzi and Frankie Micalizzi; his brother Christopher Micalizzi and two great grandsons, also by several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a civil engineer with the NYS Department of Transportation. He coached American Legion baseball and YMCA traveling basketball. He played Senior Softball until the age of 80, enjoyed league golf and bowling. He was a member of Saints John and Andrew's Holy Name Society and the Italian Lunch Bunch. He enjoyed adventurous travels in our National Parks as well as Europe. He was blessed with many lifelong friends. Frank was an honest man with great integrity and will be lovingly remembered. The family would like to thank Dr. Kloss, Dr. Sambini and their compassionate staff and the staff at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. A private Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
