Obituary of Mary Jean Cawley

Mary Jean (Connors) Cawley, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Elizabeth Church Manor Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Andrew Connors, her husband, Joseph F. Cawley, and her sister, Beverly Connors. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ticia Cawley and Robert Svete, Marietta, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph, Jr. and Bernadette Cawley, Endwell NY; her grandchildren, Meghan, Cara, Taylor and Jackson. She was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, NY. Jean was a graduate of West Scranton High School and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Scranton, PA. She was employed by United Health Services as a registered nurse, primarily in the Intensive Care Unit, for many years before retirement. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Jean's memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
