Obituary of Dorothy A. Buckley

Dorothy M. Buckley, 94, of Binghamton, passed away February 11, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents Steven and Paula Grausgruber and her eight brothers and sisters. She graduated Valedictorian of Laurel Hill Academy in Susquehanna, PA. where she met her husband and love of her life Gerald Buckley. Gerald predeceased her after sixty years of marriage. Dorothy was employed at Binghamton General Hospital for fifteen years. Dorothy is survived by her four children Maureen (Bill) Tanner, Gerald (Jackie) Buckley, Richard (Sandy) Buckley and Mary (Michael) Keenan. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Dorothy prior to her death. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA, in the Spring. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Dorothy's name may be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation (Hospice) 169 Riverside Drive, Suite 103, Binghamton, NY 13905.
