Obituary of Richard P. "Pat" Donnelly

Richard P. "Pat" Donnelly, 80, of Brackney, PA died Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Nathan and Mary Rose Donnelly; two sisters Mary Ellen "Myrt" Liska and Jean Pirich; two brothers Jerry and Bob Donnelly. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Mary Donnelly; two daughters and a son-in-law Julie and Scott Sparrow, McAllen, TX and Maryjo Gana, Brackney; a son and daughter-in-law Pat Jr. and Erin Donnelly, Binghamton; four grandchildren Tai and Dickie O'Boyle; Luke and Lindsey Gana; two sisters and a brother Joyce Kalada, Margaret Kossakowski and Nathan "Mickey" Donnelly. He was a member of St. Augustine's Parish, Silver Lake; a member of American Legion Post 357, Hallstead, PA. He was a plumber with Local 112 Binghamton. He loved to play shuffleboard at the Brackney Inn and was an avid fan of Syracuse University athletics and the Boston Red Sox. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by everyone that knew him. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Augustine's Church, Silver Lake, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy in Pat's name may be made to the Silver Lake Fire Department, 3417 Quaker Lake Road, Brackney, PA 18812. Arrangements are by the J.A.
