Carmella C. Cardello, 95, of Vestal, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Vestal Park Nursing Center. Born in Barnesboro, PA, to Antonio and Vincenza Filetto, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Cardello; daughter, Maria Williams (Tucson, AZ); and brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Theresa) Filetto, Joseph Earl (Agnes) Filetto, Frances (Robert) Markatos and Josephine (Chester) Gacioch. She is survived by her daughter, Dayus "Dee" (Joseph) Leska (Vestal); son-in-law, Thomas Williams (Tucson, AZ); grandchildren, Michael (Marie) Leska (Endicott), Kevin (Rita) Leska (Vestal), Joseph (Stacie) Leska (Clifton Park, NY), Jeffery (Stephanie) Williams (Tucson, AZ), Frank Williams (Tucson, AZ), and Julie Williams (Tucson, AZ); brother-in-law, Jack (Nan) Cardello (York, PA); 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A 35-year employee of Sears, Carm loved traveling and vacationing with her husband, Joseph; especially to Aruba where in 1990 they became honorary citizens. She enjoyed years of playing canasta with family and friends and loved the casinos right to the end. But most of all, she loved being with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her joy beyond words. The family would like to extend a very special "Thank You" to the entire North Tower 4 staff at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Your care, consideration and thoughtfulness over the last month for Carm as well as the entire family is far more appreciated than words can express. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Oak and Leroy Sts., Binghamton on Saturday at 10am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday from 9am until 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Carmella be made to a charity of your choice.
