Gerard F. (Buddy) Nolan, 89, of Webster, NY, formerly of Binghamton passed away Tuesday April 12, 2016. He was predeceased by his son, David P. Nolan, his wife, Peggy (Walker); his parents, Mary (Erskine) and Michael F. Nolan; two sisters, Esther Norton and Mary Joan Avon, and one brother, James Nolan. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah and Theodore Jamba, Nokesville, VA, Nancy Nolan, Webster, NY, Mary and George (Marty) Jones, Virginia Beach, VA, a son, Michael F. and Sharon Noland, Goldens Bridge, NY; seven grandchildren: Timothy Jamba, Alexandra Jamba, Christina Nolan, Mikayla, Julia, Jennifer and David Nolan; his sister Collette O'Malley and a special niece, Candace Kelly; and two special furry friends, Emily and Fudge. Bud graduated from St. Paul's High School and spent the next 51 years in the restaurant business between downtown Binghamton and the Vestal Parkway. Bud was a life long fan of baseball, basketball and golf, all of which he played in his youth. He also enjoyed gardening, big band music and as a devoted father and grandfather hosting family gatherings. Funeral services will be held at J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Gerald J. Buckley will officiate. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at McCormack Funeral Home, Friday from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bud may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626.
