Obituary of Barbara C. Murphy

Barbara C. Murphy, 76 of Port Crane, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Murphy; her parents, Edith and Samuel Quick; and her brothers, Samuel and Dorance Quick. She is survived by her children, Michael and Tina Murphy, Suzanne and Joseph Skapik, Robert Murphy, Kelly and Jeff Hopkins; her grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Amy, Crystal and Alex, Adam and June, Devin, Jared; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Donald, Madeline, Naleigh, Jayden; her sister, Mary Jane Quick; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was employed at Philadelphia Sales for many years and retired from the Chenango Valley School District. She enjoyed reading and being with the Murphy Family. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Pauls Church, Chenango Street, Binghamton Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Friday from 5-7 p.m.
