Donald E. Husband, 82, of Binghamton was reunited with his precious Maryann on Thursday August 20, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Alan and Jack Husband, and his son-in-law, Curtis Hadlick. He is survived by his children, Donald G. and Sally Husband, Cynthia Husband-Cohen, Carla Husband; six granddaughters, Nicole and Adam Sandell, Kristy and Eric Johnston, Katie and Patrick Hamlin, Lacey Cohen, Caryn Hadlick, Colleen Hadlick; a brother, Gary and Pat Husband; sister, Gail Husband; step-sister, Pat and Jack Walsh; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Peter T. Campon Council 206 and the 4th Degree Assembly. He was a former salesman for American Greetings, Corp., and former salesman for Beechnut Gum and Life-Savers. Don and his wife were the proprietors of Don's Ice Cream Palace and retired from the City of Binghamton. He was a member of American Legion Post 1645 and the First Ward Senior Citizens and a proud member of Binghamton North High School class of 1951 and a veteran of the US Navy during the Korean War. The family wishes to thank the dedicated Doctors, Nurses and staff of Lourdes Seton 1 and Seton PCU. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew Vestal Ave., Binghamton on Tuesday at 9:30am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Monday from 4-7pm. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Don may be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation (Hospice), 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.
