John D. Shaw, Jr., 66, of Binghamton, died Wednesday August 5, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his parents, John D. and Mildred Shaw; a brother, George Shaw; and sister, Theresa Shaw. He is survived by his children: Penny and Terry Heath, Port Crane; Nicole and Gary Ezzard, Atlanta, GA; Theresa Shaw, Buffalo; Lori and Ezra Jackson, Binghamton; and John and Angel Shaw, III, Lecanto, FL; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; four sisters: Nancy Hertzog, Mary Jane Star, JoAnne Antal and Caroline Dickson; a brother, Edward Shaw; several nieces and nephews and a very dear friend, Mike Washington. John was a Lieutenant with the Binghamton Fire Department retiring in 2005 after 32 years of service. He was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and Broome Tech. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed playing the lottery, golfing and bowling. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Monday at 1pm. Reverend Gerald J. Buckley and Reverend Corey S. VanKuren, Binghamton Fire Department Chaplains will co-officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home on Monday from 11am until 1pm.
