Gerald F. McKinney, 70, of Binghamton passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary (O'Neil) McKinney and his sister-in-law, Sally (Ellis) McKinney. He was a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy and Mount St. Mary College. Jerry had a long and varied career working for IBM, Universal Instruments and Spectra Products. He is survived by the love of his life, best friend and companion, Becky Earley; his brother, J. Joseph McKinney; and his nieces and nephews, Joe and Connie, Mary Kay, Colleen and John Syron, Cathy, Tim and Donna, Teresa and Brian Hill, Kara and Mike Zimmerman, Sharon and John Hyland; also surviving are his much loved great-nieces and nephews, Jim, Christina, Cassandra, Libby, Charlie, Ben, Hannah, Danny, Connor, Callie, Katie, Jack, Brandon, Erin, Ryan, Liam and Patrick. He was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Thursday from 4-6 p.m.
